It assesses market conditions, sector performance, fund-level returns, asset managers’ weighted average returns, as well as newly issued and dissolved funds during the year.
The findings show that Saudi Arabia’s equity market experienced a challenging year, with the Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) declining by 7.12% amid broad-based sector losses, although Software and Services, Healthcare Equipment and Services, and Utilities recorded notable gains.
Despite the market downturn, several equity and real estate funds delivered strong positive returns, while money market and fixed income funds provided relatively stable performance, highlighting the importance of diversification in navigating volatile market conditions during 2022.
