The findings reveal a record year for GCC IPOs, with 49 listings raising an estimated USD 23.2 billion, representing a 145% increase in issuances and a 208.5% surge in proceeds compared to 2021.
Saudi Arabia led the region in terms of number of listings, while the UAE dominated proceeds, driven by landmark offerings such as DEWA and Borouge.
The Utilities and Consumer Staples sectors attracted the largest share of capital, and several IPOs delivered exceptional post-listing performance, despite mixed stock price outcomes overall.
The report highlights the depth and resilience of GCC capital markets in 2022, underpinned by strong investor appetite and a robust pipeline of future listings.
